A lot of Alexander was built fast during the 2000s and 2010s. Production-built homes are usually roofed with basic architectural shingles, and after fifteen or so years of Arkansas sun and storms, those shingles start losing granules and their seal strips get brittle. That is when spring wind starts lifting them. If your home was built in that stretch and the roof has never been inspected, it is worth a free look, especially if you have noticed shingles in the yard or a water spot on a ceiling.
