Most roof problems in Arkansas start small. A pipe boot cracks in the summer heat, a few shingles lose their seal in a spring wind, or a piece of flashing pulls loose around the chimney. Left alone, that small problem turns into a stained ceiling, wet insulation, and rotten decking. Roof Repairs We Handle

Leak repair. We trace the leak to its source, which is often not where the water shows up inside. Then we fix the cause, not just the symptom.

Flashing repair. Chimneys, walls, skylights and valleys all rely on flashing. It is the number one place we find water getting in on older Arkansas homes.

Pipe boots and vents. Rubber pipe boots dry out and split under our summer sun. It is a cheap repair when caught early and an expensive one when it is not.

Wind damage. Creased, lifted or missing shingles after a storm. We replace the damaged shingles and reseal the surrounding area.

What Arkansas Weather Does to a Roof

Arkansas roofs take a beating from every direction. Spring brings hail and straight-line wind. Summer brings weeks of heat and humidity that bake shingles and dry out sealants. Winter brings the occasional ice storm that loads limbs and drops them on roofs. And every few years, something bigger comes through, like the EF3 tornado that tracked 34 miles from west Little Rock through North Little Rock, Sherwood and Jacksonville on March 31, 2023.

The practical result is that a roof here needs attention more often than the same roof would in a milder climate. Catching wear early is the difference between a few hundred dollars of repair and a full replacement years ahead of schedule.

Repair or Replace?

We get asked this on almost every inspection. The honest answer depends on the roof's age, how widespread the damage is, and whether the problem is one bad spot or a roof that is simply worn out. A ten year old roof with one leaking pipe boot should be repaired. A twenty year old roof with brittle shingles and three leaks is throwing good money after bad. We do not push replacements. If a repair will get your roof through several more years, that is what we recommend, and we say so in writing.

Could This Be an Insurance Claim?

Normal wear and tear is not covered by homeowners insurance. Sudden storm damage usually is. If our inspection finds hail bruising, wind creasing or tornado damage, we photograph and document it so you can decide whether to open a claim. We do not file claims for you, but we meet the adjuster, walk the roof with them, and complete the approved scope. Read more on our roof insurance claims page.

One thing we will never do is waive or absorb your deductible. The Arkansas Insurance Department tells homeowners to reject contractors who offer to do that, and they are right. It is insurance fraud.

How a Repair Goes With Us

You call or fill out the contact form. We schedule an inspection, walk the roof, and photograph what we find. You get a written estimate with a clear scope and a realistic timeline. Repairs are done by our crew with materials that match what is already on your roof where possible. When we leave, the roof is clean, the yard is picked up, and you have photos of the finished work.

Arkansas requires residential roofing contractors to register with the Residential Contractors Committee of the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board, which includes carrying a surety bond and proof of workers' compensation coverage. Whoever you hire, ask for their registration or license number and check it with the Board. Ours is on our credentials page.

How fast can you get to a leak?
Usually within a few days, faster after a storm if the leak is active. Call and tell us what is happening and we will fit you in as soon as we can.

Can you match my existing shingles?
Often, yes. We work with Owens Corning, GAF, CertainTeed, IKO and TAMKO and can usually find a close match. On older or discontinued colors, we will show you the best option and be upfront if it will not be an exact match.

Do you charge for the inspection?
No. Inspections are free, and you get the photos whether or not you hire us.

Will a repair void my shingle warranty?
It depends on the manufacturer and the type of warranty. We explain what applies to your roof before we start work.

Is a small leak really urgent?
Yes. Water that gets into decking and insulation does damage every time it rains, and mold is a real risk in our humidity. A small repair now is almost always cheaper than waiting.
