For hail country there is Landmark ClimateFlex. It is made with polymer-modified asphalt, carries a UL 2218 Class 4 impact resistance rating, the highest available, and CertainTeed notes the ClimateFlex technology gives the shingle cold-weather pliability, which is handy during an Arkansas ice storm when a stiff shingle is a cracked shingle. Plain language: that warranty is for defects in the shingle itself. It does not pay for hail dents, wind-lifted shingles after a storm, or tornado damage. How CertainTeed fits Arkansas weather

Hail. Standard Landmark is Class 3, which is better than a basic three-tab but not the top rating. We replace soft or rotted decking, install ice and water shield in valleys, along eaves, and around every penetration, and cover the rest of the deck with synthetic underlayment. Landmark shingles are nailed with the correct count and placement for the wind warranty, and if you choose the 160 mph upgrade we use the CertainTeed starter and hip and ridge products the warranty requires. We check attic ventilation and correct it if it is short, clean the yard with rolling magnets, then register your warranty with CertainTeed and give you the documents. Rumble is registered with the Arkansas Residential Contractors Committee. On insurance jobs we complete the approved scope, submit supplements when the adjuster missed something, and never waive or absorb your deductible.
